Jeff C. (iPad 2 with smart cover) "After spending the summer on my boat and motorcyle I found your sleeve indispensable. The case is perfect for storing the iPad in the sometimes damp and bash prone environment on board a boat. Things can fly around on a boat when heeled way over or encountering heavy seas. The case keeps the iPad handy but safe from a splash or fall...On the go: A typical scenario would be taking the iPad ashore from an anchorage in the Gulf islands (for coffee in the morning) A ride in a small Zodiac in a flimsy backpack would normally put the iPad in great danger, but in your sleeve I did not worry at all. It provided excellent impact protection, and for anything other than a complete dunk, is reasonably waterproof. Additionally, I used the sleeve as a pad to prop the iPad at a comfortable browsing angle while sitting at tables in coffee shops. Similarly, while on two long motorcycle trips, one down to California, your sleeve was in use every day. I could place it in in either the tank bag or rear top box for easy access and never once was concerned about the safety of the iPad. Normally I'd be quite worried about anything delicate carried on bike - plenty of vibration, moisture, bumping, and things getting squashed in tight motorcycle luggage. Again, your sleeve is perfect for this hostile environment. The sleeve is rugged and readily withstood the rigours of motorcycle camping, life in a tent, and a generally harsh environment. |
Rob C. (iPad 2)
I travel a good deal - my job is designing and building interactive devices and then deploying them at tradeshows, museums, etc. After doing a ton of traveling in March (something like 20 days of hopping around) I decided I finally needed to pick up a case of some kind for my ipad. Now, as with most designers, I'm picky beyond belief. 40 tabs of reviews and feedback on cases of all kinds, hours of research trying to find just the right one. Truth of the matter is that not only are most cases incredibly ugly, but poorly made, or made out of the wrong materials. I went through this same task over two or three days, eventually broadening my search to include Etsy, which is when I found the Anonum sleeve. Looked pretty cool (and I'm CTO for a screen printing website as well, so thumbs up for relevancy), appeared well made and the price was right so I gave it a shot. I'm pretty sure that when I opened the package you sent me, sitting alone in my living room, I let out an audible "oh wow". Very well made, feels really good in my hands, the ipad is perfectly snug and it all sits very happily in my messenger bag. Now whenever someone asks me what case they should get for their iPad, I take my Anonum out of my bag and show them exactly what they need. Months later and a few thousand miles, my sleeve still looks and feels brand new. I quite literally could not be happier with it, and wanted to thank you again for being the salvation to my ipad case journey. Keep making awesome stuff. |
